Service Description
Innate Postpartum Care: Planning for the Fourth Trimester Date: Sat May 3rd Time: 10am-1pm Cost per family (up to 4 adults): $99 If Mother’s partner is not available, we strongly encourage her to invite at least 1 family member to learn why Community support is the foundational pillar to all other Postpartum Care Essentials (ie. why Mother cannot care for herself alone!) Teacher: Christine Conforti, Certified Innate Postpartum Care Practitioner Description: This prenatal course covers the physiological needs of the female body immediately after birth to help families understand what is required to protect the Mother-Baby dyad bond AND ensure the long-term pelvic, digestive and hormonal health of Mother. It is a guide to preventative medicine, designed to avoid the most common modern postpartum challenges, including: postpartum depression, prolapse, incontinence, gallbladder/digestive issues, and breastfeeding challenges Based on modern science and cross-cultural healing traditions, each class is organized around the physiology (the Why) and the practical application (the How) of the 5 Postpartum Recovery Essentials: Rest, Warmth, Warm Nutrient-Dense Food, Bodywork, & Community. Under this framework, physiological topics include: uterine anatomy, baby's nervous system/co-regulation, postpartum digestion, and the postpartum hormones of mothers AND fathers. Class #1 will provide an overview of these 5 Postpartum Care Essentials, establish a prenatal community, and guide families to understand why planning for a nourishing & regenerative immediate postpartum time is essential and NOT a luxury– for mother AND baby’s long-term health. Date: Sat May 3rd (live workshop) + May 17, 24, 31 (online) Time: 10am-3pm Cost per family (up to 4 adults): $99 Teacher: Christine Conforti, Certified Innate Postpartum Care Practitioner Based on modern science and cross-cultural healing traditions, Innate Postpartum Care Education is rooted in the physiology (the Why) and the practical application (the How) of the 5 Postpartum Recovery Essentials for mothers after birth: Rest, Warmth, Warm Nutrient-Dense Food, Bodywork, & Community developed by Rachelle Garcia. Ultimately, physiological postpartum care is a guide to preventative maternal medicine, designed to avoid the most common modern postpartum challenges, including: postpartum depression, prolapse, incontinence, gallbladder/digestive issues, and breastfeeding challenges.
